Our practice features a highly skilled healthcare team and a complete full-service hospital offering a full range of medical, laboratory, dental and surgical services. Should your pet require the expertise of a veterinary specialist, we are affiliated with a full array of specialists throughout the Metropolitan area. You can feel confident that your pet will receive and have access to the very best care available.

Wellness Care

Our number one goal is to help you keep your pet as healthy as possible. Regular wellness examinations and a customized preventive care program are designed to protect your pet from disease and allow for the early detection of any health problems that may exist. A thorough health examination is recommended at least annually for pets up to 5-7 years of age. For your senior pets, older than 7 years, we recommend at least two health exams per year. These visits typically include diagnostic blood work in addition to the physical examination and a thorough discussion of your pet's health status.

Medical Care

Our practice is fully equipped with an in-house laboratory, an imaging department with radiology and ultrasound services, cat and dog specific hospitalization quarters, and a fully stocked pharmacy. Our medical care services include advanced diagnostics, pediatric care, reproductive services, cardiology, glaucoma screening, geriatric care, and oncology (cancer) therapy. We maintain a strong relationship with a full array of specialists who are available to consult on your pets case and to provide specialty care when indicated.

Surgical Care

Our hospital is well-equipped to perform most minor and major surgical procedures from spays and neuters to more complicated emergency, orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries. Some of the more advanced orthopedic procedures done at our hospital include fracture repair, ruptured (cruciates) ligaments, and patella (kneecap) luxations. Prior to surgery, each patient receives a thorough physical examination to identify any pre-existing medical conditions that might endanger your pet's health. Because not all problems can be detected on examination, we also perform pre-anesthetic blood testing. These tests not only give us a more complete picture of your pet's health but also allow us to tailor an anesthetic regime that is specific for your pet. Our surgical suite is equipped with state-of-the-art anesthetic machines and extensive anesthetic monitoring devices including pulse oximetry, ECG heart monitor, and other vital signs monitoring equipment.

Dentistry

Daily dental care is something we take for granted for ourselves because it becomes so routine. However, we often forget that our pets need routine dental care too. We offer a full line of home dental care products, including Oravet, a new sealant. Daily dental care should become as routine for your pet as it is for you. We include an oral exam with every physical examination we perform. If your pet has bad breath, gingivitis, plaque or tartar a dental prophylactic cleaning and polishing may be recommended to restore your pet’s mouth to a healthy condition. We use ultrasonic scaling and polishing equipment, safe general anesthesia, and state-of-the-art monitoring equipment for our dental procedures.

Pain Management

We take our pledge to be a pain-free hospital very seriously. Our healthcare team will help make you aware of the subtle symptoms of chronic pain and let you know how you can help your pet live more comfortably. We have many drug therapy options available in addition to physical therapy to ensure that your pet lives as comfortable a life as possible. Pain management is also part of our pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative anesthetic and surgical protocol. All surgical patients including those undergoing routine procedures such as ovariohysterectomy or castrations receive pain control medications. We urge you to discuss pain management options with our staff.

Ambulatory Care

The very best care that we can provide for your pet is through our hospital facility. However, we realize that sometimes it is not physically possible or practical to bring your pet in. On other occasions, it may be more comfortable for your pet and your family for our doctor to care for your pet at your home. For these reasons, we offer house call service.

Pet Food and Supplies

For your convenience and your pet's health and happiness, we carry a large selection of fresh, competitively-priced prescription and premium diets. We also carry: nutritional supplements, dental health supplies, flea control products, and the highest quality, general pet supplies. We will be glad to consult with you regarding the best dietary requirements for your pet's particular needs. Our team is always happy to answer your questions.
