Veterinary Technician

Katy grew up in Red Wing, MN and left there after graduating to join the United States Marine Corps. There she worked as a Helicopter Mechanic, a Hazardous Materials Specialist, and she also assisted in taking care of injured animals on Camp Pendleton. After an honorable discharge she acquired a Veterinary Technician degree from Argosy University in the spring of 2010. Katy completed her internship at Blue Sky Animal Hospital and was asked to stay on the team.

Katy and her husband had their first child, a little girl, on Christmas Day 2009. Besides being a new mommy she is going to school full time pursuing a second degree in Early Childhood Education, and working part time at Blue Sky. In her spare time Katy enjoys spending time with her family, taking her black lab (Charlie) and Yorkie (Bear) to the dog park and playing with her rambunctious kitten (Joey).
