Michele
Certified Veterinary Technician

Michele started her veterinary
career with a PCDI degree in Animal Care Assistant before attending Globe
College for veterinary technology. After graduating, she passed the state and
national certification exams to become a certified veterinary technician. She
completed an internship at a practice in Wisconsin before joining Blue Sky in
the spring of 2006.
Michele believes her pets have
a special bond with her since five of her seven pets were rescued! Sweetie is
really a very sassy cat, while Sebastian is oh so laid back. The same applies to
her horses. At 17 years old Tango is all about fast-forward, but young
thoroughbred Mickey moves in slow motion (maybe that’s why he was retired from
the race track). Young, spry Arabian Monty always keeps the others running
and playing. And then there’s Zeus, a very friendly nine-year-old
Doberman who has a natural sense for identifying “inebriated” people, whom he
loves to protect Michele from. The newest addition to her family is Punkinseed, a
young kitty who was surrendered to the clinic after being found on
the roadside at 8 weeks old. She has lost the use of one leg which will likely
need amputation - which Michele is currently saving up money for.
In her spare time, Michele
enjoys caring for boarded
horses, snowmobiling, hunting and fishing (in all seasons). She also rides
Tango in North Pines Mounted Search and Rescue and trail rides often in
Wisconsin parks.
